We still send a few cards each year. Mostly to family, and a few friends that we don't otherwise talk to much. My wife alway sent a card and letter to her favorite teacher from high school. After he died, she still exchanges a card and letter with his wife. She has always been one to try to preserve the list at of personal notes and cards.
